PVNS

Not fun, but not impossible to overcome. If this blog post shows up in your search results, just know that you CAN overcome it. It may be persistent (a year after having the tumor removed, it’s back) but you are tenacious.

More to come…

8/19/2019:

Ok, so more has arrived. It appears the tumor is back according to the MRI. It seems to respond to any exertion by swelling so I’m a bit down about not being able to do things I love like running and riding my bike (I still ride short distances but running is out of the question).

I’m doing things like taking turmeric to reduce inflammation and also CBD oil for pain relief. It makes it manageable but I can feel my left knee is warm compared to the right one so I know it’s still actively doing something in there that I probably don’t want it doing. All signs point to needing surgery again in the future.

I had a nice few months of full activity about a year after the surgery before it came back again so I’m hopeful that the next one goes as smoothly.

Holding off for now because it isn’t super urgent(only a year of growth vs who knows how many years prior), and I have a move coming up… after the first surgery I couldn’t walk without crutches for about a week and limped around for a couple more after that so it’s def not the right time to get my knee cut into.
